Arrive for 9am

University of Salford, MediaCityUK, Salford, M50 2HE

FAQs

Common questions and answers about the event

  • Getting here & parking

If you’re driving down, use the post code M50 2BS and park in the multi-storey car park just behind Booths (it takes both cash and card payment).

Media City is the nearest tram stop.

For more travel info please see the Media City site http://www.mediacityuk.co.uk/destination/getting-here

  • What’s the schedule?

This will be available on the day. Why? All the sessions on the day are one-track and as we have a limited number of tickets, the day will be a much better experience for everyone if you arrive for a 9am start to relax and enjoy the full day. Dipping in and out of sessions and judging talks based on titles can mean you miss out on some really great talks, not to mention making it awkward at coffee breaks when someone asks what you thought of a talk you didn’t see! so please make sure you arrive promptly, stay the day and support all our speakers who are giving up their time to share their knowledge and experiences with you. It will be a fantastic day!

At the end of the day we hope you’ll join us back at Keep It Usable (just across the road from the venue) where you can chat with our speakers and other attendees over some alcoholic drinks.

  • Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, there’s a cloakroom (free of charge) to store coats and bags.

  • Can I bring colleagues?

Sure! But we’ll need to check first that we have enough spare ticket(s) for them. So make sure you get in touch with us asap to book them in before all the tickets go.

  • Is food and drink provided?

Yes, Keep It Usable are covering all your food and drink on the day so that you can relax and enjoy yourself.

David Hamill

David Hamill is a nosey bastard (his words). He loves nothing more than watching people and finding out why they do things the way they do. Imagine his delight back in 2003 when he discovered you could do it as a proper job. After leaving the bank he was working for at the time of this discovery he spent 6 years working in UX consultancy. In 2013 he joined Skyscanner where he is responsible for helping the business understand the needs and behaviour of its users. He used to write a blog at www.goodusability.co.uk until he had a baby and now wonders what happened to all the spare time he used to have. He still however finds time to get out on his bike whenever he can.
